Each year since its foundation in 1989, KAMSA has organized a Youth Symphony Orchestra consisting of young Korean-American musicians. The orchestra holds its auditions in the spring and puts on its annual performance in the fall. In 2008, the orchestra will also be touring Korea for the first time.

The annual Young Artist Competition gives young Korean-American musicians an opportunity to show their virtuosity to an appreciative audience. The winner may be invited to play with the Youth Symphony Orchestra at its annual concert.

KAMSA provides a showcase for outstanding Korean-Americal musical artists through West Coast debut recitals at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.
